Oboe Repair HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

I just got a new school owned oboe and when i was walking apparently the case hook was loose and the oboe fell off. The connector metal that connects to the bell was pushed up and i cannot connect it. I seems that a piece as overlapping another. WEIRD It was the piece at the last button with a giant hole in the middle. Next to it is a piece and the long metal piece that connect the oboe to bell was on top of it now the connector totally pushed up.

oh no! You're going to have to take that in to a repair technician for sure. Take it to someone who knows oboes well, if you can, or show your private teacher if you have one. The rod's been bent and I wouldn't recommend that you bend it back yourself. Also, since it dropped, there's probably a lot more damage to your instrument's adjustment, and the overall mechanism itself, that you might not be able to see. Hope your instrument turns out ok!
