Ways To Game With The Dell Venue Pro

The Dell Venue Pro, a Windows Phone 7 smart phone, might not be the perfect mobile device, but it was designed with several features that gamers will appreciate. Some of the Venue Pro's features include connectivity to Xbox Live, which makes connecting to your friends and downloading games much easier, a large AMOLED multi-touch screen that doesn't attract fingerprints, and a battery life that will give you plenty of hours of gaming before the battery dies out.

Perhaps the most notable feature of the Dell Venue Pro that makes it as enjoyable as it is, is the Xbox Live connectivity. There are a wide variety of games available to Windows 7 phone users. These include action and adventure games, puzzles, shooters, trivia, and strategy games. It's easy to download and install them onto the Dell Venue Pro. First, you go to the marketplace from the start screen. There you have the option of browsing game categories or typing in the name of the game you are looking for. When you decide which one you want, press down on it twice to purchase it. You'll be paying for the game through your Zune account, or through your mobile phone account. After purchasing the game, it will automatically download and install. To find the game, look in the Games Hub under Collection.

If you already have an existing Xbox Live account, you can use that on the Dell Venue Pro. And don't worry if you don't because you can set up a new one on the phone too. This makes gaming a community experience rather than just a solitary pursuit. The Game Hub on the phone will display your Xbox Live avatar, your gamer score and all your recent achievements as well. Gaming invitations from your friends are also listed in this section. If friends haven't been playing recently, you can give them a nudge. The Games Hub also lists Xbox Live news.

Perhaps the most important thing to a gaming phone is the screen. It is an AMOLED screen, which makes it better than a typical LED screen. The Dell Venue Pro screen doesn't have the highest contrast of all the gaming phones, but it is sufficiently clear and crisp. It is easy to see in sunlight and doesn't smudge easily from fingerprints. The screen is large at 4.1 diagonal inches. The resolution is 800 X 480 pixels. The display is multi-touch, which gives the games more control options.

Smart phones that you game on need decent battery life. Fortunately, the Dell Venue Pro offers above average battery life so that you can game for longer. If you are a heavy user and play a lot of games, you should be able to go a little over a day on a single charge. More moderate users should be able to get two days of use out of one charge.

If you get this smart phone, you'll want to get some Dell Venue Pro accessories to ensure that you can continue to game on it for a long time. These accessories will help protect your phone, such as a Dell Venue Pro screen protector so that your screen doesn't get scratched. One scratch can ruin your overall gaming experience. You'll also want to invest in a decent Dell Venue Pro case, so your phone doesn't break if you accidentally drop it. The Dell Venue Pro has an 8 GB model and a 16 GB model. And since there isn't an accessible microSD storage port, most people will be purchasing the larger version of the Dell Venue Pro, which is suggested if you plan on gaming a lot.

Is this PC a good buy ?

Was looking around to upgrade my outdated computer and found this.
Currently i'm unsure how to go about looking for a good computer as i have not been following what specs are at nowadays.

Information given:
AMD Athlon II 250 3.0GHz Processor (Dual-Core)
4GB of Fast DDR3 RAM
500GB Hard drive
High performance Motherboard
Nvidia Graphics
24x CD/DVD Sata Optical Drive
Mars Blue LED Gaming Case with LCD Display
500w Alpine Silent PSU
Windows 7 Ultimate Operating System (64bit)
AVG Internet Security 2011 (pre-paid)

£200
Just the base unit yes, i take it the Graphics card is letting it down ?
How much extra would i have to sink into this machine to get it to a decent gaming computer level ?

that's not bad..........
