How To Get The Most From Your Backgrounds For Twitter
While we all like to think we are not affected by marketing, imagery and pretty pictures; the opposite is true in almost all instances. No more is this demonstrated than with the varied and crazy world of Twitter backgrounds.
They are important on two main levels; to inform and entertain. It is getting these two factors right that will help you boost your rankings and number of followers. There are a lot of us out there; we need to make sure we are memorable.
That said, the work Twitter has already done for us is good. Whilst not the most thrilling, their backgrounds do a job; think of them much as you would applying a magnolia finish to your home's interior just before handing it to your realtor.
Once we know what we are doing with our Twitter blogging though, then it really is necessary to put a little more effort in; particularly if we want to make it work for us.
The settings page is easily navigable, and selecting to change your background with one of your chosen images from your PC or laptop is self explanatory.
How you lay this out can be decided between tiled or centered shot. If you choose to go for the centered option; ensure quality and sharpness is retained to produce the highest quality.
It is also worth paying attention to such areas on screen as your sidebar; ensure all info is presented clearly and concisely - you can't embed links. Logos can be incorporated too, if you are using Twitter as one of your online marketing avenues.
Indeed, if you have a blog of any sort, you should always put a link to your twitter page. You can find follow me on twitter buttons that can be pasted right into your theme or website.
Backgrounds for Twitter should present you, and what you feel to the world. Take some time thinking about what suits you. As with the account itself, backgrounds for Twitter are an opportunity to tell the world who you are; take your time and get it right.
I want to find information on any four of the different types of computer?
Micro computer,Mini computer,work station
A Microcomputer is basically the combination of CPU and other peripherals (I/O, memory, etc.) that for a basic computer system.
A minicomputer is a computer that is smaller that a mainframe, but bigger than a PC or workstation. Minicomputer is a loose term for describing any general-purpose digital computer in a low-to-moderate price range. Minicomputers used to be primarily used for the processing of a single application or the procession of a number of small applications. For example, in a distributed procession network, a minicomputer could perform a specific operation and send the volume procession through communication lines to a large mainframe. Today the tasks that were performed by minicomputers are now largely performed by industrial grade PCs working singly or together on a local area network.
In the telecom industry, a workstation is a computer and a telephone on a desk and both attached to a telecom outlet on the wall. The computer industry tends to refer to workstations as high-speed personal computers, such as Sun workstations, which are used for high-powered processing tasks like CAD/CAM, engineering, etc. A common PC - like the one you would find on your desk - is not usually considered a workstation though that has become the standard term used today to describe any computer you use for work or home at a desk.
If you are still looking for more information about these topics a really good resource is Newton's Telecom Dictionary. It has some excellent definitions and descriptions for a wide range of topics and Network terminology.
